Joy

Autumn’s Joy du Prairie is our pint-sized, powerhouse of speed, agility and intelligence. Joy is extremely devoted and loyal to her young owner and dear friend. Autumn took Joy as her 4-H project in 2008 as a seven-month old pup, and walked away with the Dog and You trophy, and several ribbons. In 2009, they won more ribbons in obedience and earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen title. Autumn learned a lot about dog ownership, grooming and handling, and Joy matured in front of an audience. Autumn’s goals with Joy are to advance into agility courses, and to continue teaching her to be an excellent companion and farmer’s helper. Joy helps with our daily barn chores, and enjoys spending time with our family. She is a Shannon du Prairie daughter, with many of the same precious qualities of her mother. We are very happy to have Joy as a member of our family. She is an excellent watchdog, and has natural herding instincts. Joy is kind and loving with children and livestock, and is a very smart English Shepherd. We know she will make an excellent mother, blessing the lives of those who get one of her pups.
